Messaggioda kim » sab giu 06, 2009 9:22 am

Hi!

First of all I am sorry I am writing in English but my Italian is poor :(

In Itally have climbed only in the Dolomites (mainly Sella also Grande Falzarego, Cinque Tori) a couple of times. I did mainly traditional routes in Sella. This time I am looking for regions in Italy or Austria which are
-mountain area, where routes are about 200 - 400 meters
- but bolted (not traditional)
-not difficult - from 5c to 6 a and 6b
-beautiful like Dolomites:)
-not very long walking from the car:)
-climbing possible in summer

Can you help me please?

And how about Val di Mello?

I have read:
This is one of the most amazing climbing valleys in the world. It reminds one of Yosemite valley, looking at the white and compact granite faces and mountains. Short routes with easy access and complex routes of up to 20 pitches with a 2 hour hike access can be found here. Climbing is mostly a combination of trad and bolted slabs, most of the routes clearly require trad gear and experience. Several routes exhibit quite some run outs. However, there are also some well protectable classics which can be identified in one of the many climbing guide books available for this place.

One of the most amazing climbing valleys in the world?

Can you recommed most beatiful routes about 200-400 m high, between 5b - 6b, bolted, at least in crusial parts ?

Some routes in Valle dell'Orco
a very few routes in Val di Mello (90% on that grade are trad or very far bolted, bold climbing required)

Or a lot of not famous walls, just to neme a couple
