Comment on why you are climbing and especially in competition:
I?m doing sport for the pleasure of moving and giving my best in, and also for and equilibrium with intellectual work.
And especially climbing for the diversity of movements, the pleasure you can have in mastering your body, but also for the different types of activities and the places where you can find some good locals products (wine, cheese?.)
Concerning competition, my motives is being the best, in a serious game where you have to fight pressure. This is a environment where you can strongly feel yourself living. Being the best means being better than the others, I like leaving everybody far behind, but it?s not against people, more a personal challenge.
Your goals?
For 05, the world championships in bouldering, the masters in leading and the bouldering world cup.
Bad and good experiences:
Good:
Week-end spent in the south of France cliffs.
The moments we had with the French bouldering team.
A bottle of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou 1990 (that is a Saint Julien, 2ème cru classé)
The cheese for Savoy : Tomme and reblochon
Bad
The Rice alcohol we tried when we were in China
The cheese from around Clermont-Ferrand : Le Saint Nectaire, even if that was a gift from Ludovic Laurence
Opinion on the evolution of the sports:
It?s nice to do a sport which start to take off, there is more and more good events which make a good show and put well on the scene the climbers
