This summer i'mg oing to the dolomites (Lavaredo/marmolada).
i'm wandering what crags (single pitch routes) are in the neighborhood to go to in case of bad weather?
Also do you know a good topoguide (prev. English) of the Lavaredo/marmolada area.
Thanks in advance!
In case of uncertain weather don't miss the Laste (a.k.a. Ronc or Sas Da Rocia) crag in Marmolada Area. It is a pleasant place 1600m high with many single pitches from 6a to 7c.
You can find more info on the topo guide "Gesti di Arrampicata" you can find in local bookstores (in Alleghe, Agordo or Canazei), it is in Italian, but the maps are clear.
The traditional crag in Cortina for bad weather days are the famous "5 Torri", just in sight of the town driving to Passo Falzarego. Many routes from IV grade to 8b, single ore multipitch, trad or bolted.
Bye!
